Love this pad!

Very happy with this practice pad. Has a great feel that is not too hard and not too soft. Excellent for warming up and general practicing. The only thing that would make this a five star review is if it were available threaded to mount to a cymbal stand.

12" Green Trad Pad

As a musical educator and former drumline player, this is the pad I ultimately arrived when considering one for both educational and personal purposes.

It offers a traditional feel and rebound, most like a RealFeel. I would describe it as a medium high rebound. ~8 on a 10 scale, 10 being marching snare rebound (very high). If you want something closer to the way most drums feel on a kit, I recommend the Red Storm pad.

The pads are very well made. Sonically, the Green 12" offers a variety of tones, as it's nice to use splits and accents between the edge and center. While it isn't a loud pad, I wouldn't consider it particularly quiet, either. If that's a priority, I'd consider other options.

The color is fresh and attractive. A sporty greenish teal that reminds me of a vibrant tennis court. The bottom surface is quite usable as well, offering a harder surface with marginally less rebound.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with it. It's a great pad and I'm looking forward to using it for years to come.

Helpful

I grabbed one of these pads because of the rim. After many years of playing in rock bands and hitting rimshots to get over the amps, I was having trouble keeping my hands at a good angle to play lighter and in the center of the head. It was making my rolls sound sloppy. The Prologix gave me a nice guide to help work that out! Also, I completely fell in love with the feel of it. The rebound is superb, the construction is top notch, and it’s small enough to fit in my backpack with ease. I loved it so much I bought myself a second, bigger one without a rim! I have 2 other name brand pads and I use both of my Prologix more than those now. Thanks for making a great pad!
